Hillsboro City Schools Transportation Supervisor Ron Ward said 197 area bus drivers have registered for the training session, which will be from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at the Highland County Fairgrounds.

Drivers will receive training in the proper use of fire extinguishers, roadside flares and emergency warning triangles. In addition, there will be instructions on pre-trip safety inspections and how to safely exit a bus in the event of an accident.

Ward said much of the session will cover required fields of training for Ohio bus drivers.
