Santa Claus is coming to town

He sees you when you’re sleeping, he knows when you’re awake – and on Saturday, Santa made some stops in Hillsboro ahead of Christmas.

Santa Claus was spotted at TSC getting photos with good kids and good puppies, and he also made his way to uptown Hillsboro to hear what young boys and girls wanted for Christmas at Highland Lodge #38.

A couple dozen youngsters took turns telling Saint Nick what was on their list, and Santa presented each child with a wrapped present that they could open before Christmas.

“Santa thought all the children were very nice and very well behaved,” Santa told The Highland County Press in uptown Hillsboro, adding that some of the children asked for tractors, clothes, Angry Bird toys, Legos and Barbie dolls, among other things.

“There are so many good boys and girls, and I can see that there are very few on the naughty list.”

With that, Santa had to get back to the North Pole, but several heard him exclaim as he drove out of sight, “Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”
