Samantha Friends Church will celebrate 200 years of worship of Jesus Christ and will honor past and present veterans on Sunday, Nov. 11.

The Samantha Friends Church was founded and first met on Nov. 14, 1812.

The public is invited to join in celebration of 200 years of praise and worship of Jesus Christ. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m., and coffee and pastries will be served. Sunday School will begin at 9:30 a.m.

The celebration will continue at 10 a.m. with special music, singing and fellowship. Past and present veterans of the church and the nation will be honored. Long-serving members will also be recognized. The celebration will also continue with a Christian message delivered by new pastor Larry "Rick" Smith.

A carry-in dinner in the church fellowship room will follow the service. There will be plenty of food, drinks, desserts, fellowship and thanks to the Lord to be enjoyed by all.

The public is encouraged to come and join in celebrating the 200 years of love, worship and service to the Lord and an eternity of his love.

Samantha Friends Church is located on the corner of U.S. 62 and Fall Creek Road in Samantha.
