Rosenberger wins Republican election for state representative

Incumbent State Representative Cliff Rosenberger won his Republican primary vote to run for re-election for the spot this November in the 91st Ohio House District.
Rep. Rosenberger, who was elected in 2010 for his first term, unofficially totaled 6,798 votes to defeat Republican Barb Cole, who finished with 3,534 votes in the Tuesday Republican Primary election.
The Ohio House District 91 consists of Clinton, Highland and Pike counties, along with parts of Ross County.

• Clinton: Rosenberger 2,174, Cole 907
• Highland: Rosenberger 3,553, Cole 2,329
• Pike: Rosenberger 1,004, Cole 269
• Ross: Rosenberger 67, Cole 29
Rep. Rosenberger's election website states the following as the top issues: reducing the cost of government, creating a business-friendly environment, developing a 21st-century workforce, stopping the brain drain of Ohio’s best and brightest and increasing Ohio’s tourism.
When running for election for the 91st District, Cole said the following in The Highland County Press earlier this year:
"They want someone with the courage to stand up for the little guy, not the political big guy,” she said. “They want someone who will take hold of the issues and change them on a state level."
