The Hillsboro City Council has announced its agenda for the 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10 meeting at the Hillsboro Municipal Courtroom, 130 Homestead Ave.

Agenda items

Finance Committee (Peter Pence, chairman) reports:

1. The lodging tax collected by the city.

2. Smith-Hobart Drive project.

3. Proposal from Washington and Jackson townships (Fire/EMS).

Street and Safety Committee (Brian Waller, chairman):

1. A left-turn signal at Harry Sauner Road and the Save-a-Lot parking lot (ODOT to send an engineer to investigate.)

2. Uptown parking

3. Smith-Hobart Drive

4. U.S. 62 Traffic.

Utilities Committee (Dave Shoemaker, chairman)

1. Flooding and ways to prevent it.

Zoning and Annexation Committee (Brian Waller, acting chairman)

1. Check into equalizing the Hillsboro wards.

PASSAGE OF ORDINANCES & RESOLUTIONS
(FIRST READINGS)

1. A Resolution Accepting the Amounts & Rates as Determined By the Budget Commission & Authorizing the Necessary Tax Levies & Certifying Them to the County Auditor.

2. A Resolution to Amend Appropriations in the Recreation Fund.

3. A Resolution to Increase Appropriations in the Indigent Driver’s Alcohol Treatment Fund.

4. A Resolution to Authorize the Mayor to Execute & Deliver a Quit-Claim Deed & Deeds of Easement to the State of Ohio the Right of Way Necessary to Complete the Hobart/Carl Smith Drive extension & to Declare an Emergency.

5. A Resolution amending Res. 09-54 and 09-58.

6. Legislation relating to a group home.

NEW BUSINESS:

The October council meeting will be Tuesday, Oct. 9.

Council meetings and committee meetings are open to the public.
