Ohio State Highway Patrol announces Cincinnati Post Trooper of the Year
The Cincinnati Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol has announced the 2024 Trooper of the Year.
Trooper Julie Haas, Unit 664 has been awarded the title of 2024 Cincinnati Post Trooper of the Year.
Trooper Haas was selected by her peers for her outstanding work ethic, dedication to the Division's mission and her willingness to help and support others. Her friendly and welcoming personality has made a significant impact in the community she serves.
Additionally, Trooper Haas is an active recruiter for the Division and consistently strives to make a positive difference in the lives of those she interacts with daily. She is also a valued member of the crisis intervention team, assisting fellow units during critical incidents and promoting strong mental health.
Trooper Haas joined the Ohio State Highway Patrol in 2017 as part of the 161st Academy class and has been assigned to the Cincinnati Post since then. Before joining the Patrol, she earned a bachelor of science in physical education from Ohio University and worked as an elementary school educator for approximately five years.
Throughout her career, Trooper Haas has received several awards, including the education ribbon, the field training officer ribbon and the safe driving ribbon for five consecutive years.
