Ohio Inspector General investigates state departments of administrative services, corrections
In a report of investigation released this week, the Ohio inspector general found wrongful acts or omissions were committed by one employee at the Ohio Department of Administrative Services and another employee at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction.
The investigation confirmed allegations referred to the inspector general’s office by officials at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction.
A state purchasing procurement manager employed by the Ohio Department of Administrative Services (ODAS), through her interactions with an inmate at the Pickaway Correctional Institution, violated Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction policies.
The investigation further revealed the procurement manager’s continual communications with the inmate during work hours also violated the policies of ODAS as well.
