Ohio Inspector General finds wrongdoing at ODJFS

By
-

The inspector general has released a report of investigation finding the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Office of Workforce Development failed to adequately oversee federal grant funds applied to the Constructing Futures jobs training initiative for Central Ohio.

In May 2012, Ohio Inspector General’s Report of Investigation File Number 2010-323 detailed similar grant oversight issues in Northwest Ohio.

[[In-content Ad]]The investigation was initiated in compliance with a 2009 act of the 128th Ohio General Assembly requiring the Ohio Inspector General to monitor funds received under the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) of 2009.

The matter has been forwarded to the U.S. Department of Labor and the Ohio Auditor of State for further consideration.

Ohio Inspector General Report of Investigation file number 2011-247 is now available at: http://watchdog.ohio.gov/Investigations/2012Investigations.aspx.
