Obama for America-Ohio to open campaign office in Hillsboro

Area Obama supporters will gather for the grand opening of the latest Organizing for America-Ohio (OFA) office in Hillsboro, beginning at 7 p.m. today at 721 S. High St., Hillsboro.

Along with field offices in Beavercreek, Mason, Springboro, Milford and New Richmond, the office will serve as a community hub for 2012 election activities, according to a news release from Jason Pitt.

This office opening is just the latest step in building up the campaign infrastructure across Ohio as election season ramps up.

Volunteers and supporters the choice in this election between two fundamentally different visions of how to grow the economy, create middle-class jobs and pay down the debt. 

"While the president believes that the only way to grow the middle class is from the middle out, Mitt Romney and his recently announced running mate Paul Ryan would give away tax breaks away to millionaires and billionaires at the expense of the middle class," the news release stated. "Furthermore, the Romney-Ryan budget would devastate the security of senior citizens – ending Medicare as we know it by turning the program into a voucher system and privatizing Social Security."


The Hillsboro office opening ceremony begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30 at 721 S. High St.
