Lynchburg man arrested for disorderly conduct

On Saturday, Dec. 8 at approximately 2:36 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a call from a local fast food restaurant in reference to a complaint from the restaurant of a male subject acting up.
The restaurant employees advised the department that the individual was asked to leave and would not, and that he acted like he was going to come across the counter at store employees.
An officer located the subject on North High St. just north of the restaurant, and he took off running westbound between two houses. A short time later, the officer observed him walking back out from between those houses.

The officer made contact with the subject and identified him as Jeremy Lamb, 27, of Lynchburg. Based upon Lamb's condition, the officer felt he was under the influence of something. Lamb was put in handcuffs with slight resistance while the officer waited on backup.
Once backup arrived, the officers tried to talk to Lamb, who was clearly not capable to understand and was not capable to take care of himself. Lamb was arrested for disorderly conduct and taken to the jail.
An employee from the fast food restaurant told officers that Lamb had come in the store and was bothering customers and employees, was asking for free stuff. When employees gave Lamb a free water, he wanted his money back. The employee also advised that Lamb tried to sell the employees his cigarettes and was wanting money back for his cigarettes even though he did not buy them there. Lamb's actions alarmed the staff enough to contact the HPD.
