Lebanon Post investigating 2-vehicle fatal crash on Dixie Highway in Franklin

The Lebanon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash. The crash occurred Wednesday, June 26, just after 3:30 p.m., on Dixie Highway south of Pennyroyal Road in Franklin, Warren County.

The preliminary investigation revealed a 2008 Honda Civic, operated by Mary P. Hensley, 73, Orange, Calif., was turning south onto Dixie Highway out of a private drive. A 2003 Dodge Ram 3500, operated by James Mackey, 46, Franklin, was traveling north on Dixie Highway. While turning out of the private drive, the Honda was struck by the Dodge.

Hensley was transported by ground ambulance to the Atrium Medical Center, where she was succumbed to fatal injuries from the crash.

Mackey was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Lebanon Post.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Franklin Police Department, Franklin Fire Department, Joint Emergency Medical Services (JEMS), Franklin Streets Division and Case Towing.
