LaRose issues statement regarding Ohio Senate’s passage of Senate Bill 4

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose issued the following statement today regarding the Ohio Senate’s passage of Senate Bill 4, legislation to codify the successful Election Integrity Unit created by Secretary LaRose in 2022:

“Ohioans deserve absolute confidence in the honesty and accuracy of their elections.

"That's why I created the state's first-ever Election Integrity Unit in 2022 with a clear mission to bring unprecedented accountability to our voting process. This unit’s professional investigations have resulted in hundreds of criminal referrals, and they've helped position Ohio as a national leader in election integrity.

"I applaud Senator Gavarone and the Ohio Senate for passing this legislation, which also demands more effective prosecution of these cases. This bill sends a clear message that if you cheat in our elections, we'll find you and hold you accountable to the law.”
