Kenneth Nugent named Bainbridge Senior Citizen of the Year

Kenneth Nugent has been selected as the Bainbridge Senior Citizen of the Year for 2012.
At a recent meeting of the Bainbridge Senior Citizens, Mr. Nugent was chosen to represent them in the 2012 Fall Festival of Leaves parade on Sunday, Oct. 21.
Mr. Nugent is 87 years old, was born in Iowa, and when a lad of 9, moved with his parents to Dayton, Ohio where he attended school and graduated.

He entered the plumbing business and had his own shop for over 10 years in Dayton.
He set up shop in Bainbridge when he moved and, after retiring, he and his wife, Evelyn, moved to a small farm in Benton Township, Pike County, where they built a new home.
The Nugents have been married for 68 years, and they have a son and daughter.
Ken attends the Bainbridge Church of Christ, is a member of F.&A.M. Lodge No. 196, and is on the Bainbridge Senior Citizens Board of Directors.
