HPD responds to uptown car crash

On Tuesday, March 4 at 4:57 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a reported crash in the 100 block of West Walnut Street.

Upon officer arrival, it was stated by witnesses that Arthur E. Wright, 66, of Hillsboro, operating a Chevrolet Tahoe, entered the intersection on a red light. Wright had to swerve to avoid collision with another vehicle in the intersection.

Wright's vehicle slid sideways and traveled into a parked Toyota Camry owned by Gayle Reinsmith, 61, of Hillsboro, which was unoccupied, and then tipped over onto a parked Toyota Camry owned by Jennifer Tabor, 39, of Hillsboro, which was unoccupied. Wright's Tahoe came to a rest on the driver's side in the roadway.

Wright was cited for failure to maintain control.
