HPD, Paint Creek firefighters called to vehicle fire on Muntz Street

The Hillsboro Police Department and Paint Creek Joint EMS/Fire District responded to a vehicle fire on Muntz Street at approximately 1:47 p.m. Wednesday in Hillsboro.

A Chevrolet Blazer had apparently overheated. A Hillsboro police officer used a fire extinguisher on the vehicle prior to firefighters' arrival.

The Blazer appeared to sustain considerable damage.

First responders in Hillsboro also were on the scene at a South High Street accident that occurred moments earlier. Meanwhile, a life squad was requested for a 61-year-old Concord Road resident at the same time.
