HPD investigates three Walmart shoplifting cases

On Wednesday, Oct. 17, the Hillsboro Police Department received a call from Walmart in Hillsboro. They advised they had detained a female shoplifter. Upon officer arrival and investigation, it was found that Alicia Wilson, 25, of Wilmington had concealed items and left the store without paying for them. Wilson was arrested for theft, trespassing, drug abuse instrument and possession of marijuana.

On Thursday, Oct. 18, the Hillsboro Police Department received a call from Walmart in Hillsboro. They advised there was a male shoplifter in the store. Upon officer arrival and investigation, Jacob Tolle, 27, of Hillsboro was arrested for theft and drug abuse instrument.
The Hillsboro Police Department received a separate call from Walmart in Hillsboro on Oct. 18. They advised a male was in the store and removed a coat from the display. He then took the coat to customer service for a cash refund. Jeremy Walter, 26, of West Portsmouth was arrested for theft by deception.
