Hillsboro woman sentenced on meth trafficking charges
A Hillsboro woman was sentenced to community control this week after pleading guilty to meth trafficking charges.
Michelle Sions, 44, was indicted by a Highland County grand jury in June of two counts of aggravated trafficking in methamphetamine, one third-degree and one fourth-degree felony; and two counts of aggravated possession of methamphetamine, one third-degree and one fifth-degree felony. She pleaded guilty to the trafficking charges in October, with the possession charges dismissed.
According to a bill of particulars, in November 2022, Sions and a co-defendant sold a bag of drugs to a confidential informant. The bag was later confirmed by BCI to contain 3.15 grams of meth.
Five days later, the bill of particulars alleged that Sions again sold “a plastic bag containing a crystal substance” to a confidential informant, with that bag also found to contain meth.
On Nov. 8, Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss sentenced Sions to three years of community control. She was also ordered to pay $80 in restitution joint and several with her co-defendant, plus $40 alone, to the Highland County Task Force.
The judge also ordered Sions to successfully complete a treatment program.
