Hillsboro woman faces drug-related charges

A 22-year-old Hillsboro woman was arrested Sunday, Sept. 2 by the Hillsboro Police Department on a misdemeanor charge of possessing a drug abuse instrument.
According to a news release by the HPD, at approximately 5:36 p.m. Sunday, officers were in the area of 1100 Northview Drive and noticed a "strong chemical odor that is associated with methamphetamine labs" coming from an apartment.
Officers spoke with a tenant of the apartment and received written consent to search the residence. The search uncovered a meth lab, drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia, the HPD said.
Two subjects were found in the apartment.
Karie Price, 22, was arrested on a misdemeanor. A 56-year-old Hillsboro man could also face charges, the HPD said.
