On May 24, the Hillsboro Police Department investigated a vehicle that had been struck on May 20 by another vehicle in the parking lot at Subway on North High Street. The vehicle, owned by Terri Ritze of Hillsboro, was struck on the rear driver's side, causing non-functional damage. No injuries were sustained.
At 7:58 a.m., Hillsboro Police Department received a call from Morgan Fence Company, located on North High Street, reporting that in the past two days, someone had come onto the business property and had taken a lot of metal fencing, posts and wooden fencing. Stolen items were valued at $4,757.14. This incident remains under investigation.
On May 25 at 3:11 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a report of a two-car collision on South High Street at Muntz Street. The vehicle, operated by Johnie R. Galimore of Hillsboro, was sitting stationary southbound behind a truck operated by George E. Carmen of Fairborn. Carmen was attempting to back up to give a semi truck enough room to make a wide right turn onto High Street from Muntz. He failed to see Mr. Galimore behind him, striking his vehicle, causing damage to both. Carmen was cited for improper backing.
At 6:03 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department investigated a two-car collision at the Burger King drive-through. Stephen Gray of Hillsboro was sitting at the drive-through window when he was struck from behind by Perry Johnson of Hillsboro. Minor damage was reported. No injuries were sustained.
At approximately 6:09 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a report of a two-car crash on North High Street in front of Westview Motors. Upon the officers' arrival, it was found that 20-year-old Kara D. Troyer of Leesburg was northbound in a 2004 Dodge in the area of Westview Motors when she failed to observe a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer operated by 16-year-old Gregory H. Coleman of Batavia, sitting stationary in traffic in front of her. Troyer's vehicle struck the rear of Coleman's vehicle, causing disabling damage to hers and on-functional damage to his. Troyer was issued a citation for ACDA.

On May 26, the Hillsboro Police Department received a call from Wal-Mart in Hillsboro. They had detained a male for shoplifting. Upon officer arriving, it was found Jason Simon, 36, of Hillsboro had ben detained for theft of items valued at $65. Simon was arrested for theft.
