On May 1 at approximately 2:50 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a call of an accident on Harry Sauner Road involving three vehicles. It was found that Sue Bryan, 64, of Hillsboro was west-bound on Harry Sauner Road driving a 2008 Lexus. Bryan's vehicle struck the rear of a 2007 Dodge van driven by Amanda Walker, 28, of Hillsboro, causing Walker's vehicle to strike the rear of a 2012 Nissan driven by Randy Mossbarger, 48, of Washington C.H., who was stopped at a red light. Bryan was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
At approximately 8:39 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a call from 900 North High Street, Wendy's, referencing property damage. Upon the officer's arrival, it was found that a green Cavalier, ESS4313, driven by Audrea Rice, 45, of Hillsboro was south-bound on North High St. when she failed to maintain control, causing her vehicle to make an immediate left turn into the grass area in front of Wendy's and drove over the bushes, causing property damage. The female driver was later found and issued a citation for failure to maintain control.
On Wednesday, May 2, the Hillsboro Police Department received a call from Robert Watterly. It was advised a tree had been uprooted due to the storm and fell onto his truck, and the tree was blocking the whole street. The tree fell on the rear of the truck, causing damage. The Hillsboro Street Department was also to scene to remove the tree from the roadway.

On May 4 at approximately 9:50 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a call of an accident on North West Street at the entrance to Lowe's. It was found Joshua Runnels, 33, of Washington C.H., was driving a 1998 Jeep northbound and went off the right side of the roadways tricking a highway sign. Runnels was cited for operating a vehicle without reasonable control.
On May 3 at approximately 2:37 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a call from Wal-Mart in Hillsboro. It was advised they had detained a shoplifter. Upon officers' arrival, it was found Ernest Myers, 49, of West Union had been detained. Upon the officer's arrival and investigation, Myers was arrested for theft.

Chandler Davis, 18, unnecessary noise from radio.
Cody Burns, 18, window tint.
Brett Layman, 36, of Greenfield, bench warrant charge.
Bryant Resor, 19, of Mowrystown, bench warrant charge.
