Hillsboro Police Report

On Oct. 9 at 1:29 a.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a report of damage occurring to a 2002 Chevy Impala while parked at the Hillsboro Elementary School. Victim Jennifer Crabtree reported that she parked her car at 8:50 a.m., and she returned at 1:15 p.m. and found that someone had attempted to get into the vehicle by using a screwdriver in the key hole. This report remains under investigation.
On Oct. 10 at 9:02 a.m., a Pike Gas employee reported that sometime overnight, unknown persons had stolen two of their three outside condenser units and the associated disconnects. They also cut the copper feed lines. This report remains under investigation.
At 9:04 a.m., the department received a report of a breaking and entering at Tissot's Home Center. Upon arriving, owner Jane Tissot advised that the business had been entered and money taken. This report remains under investigation.

At 12:21 p.m., a store employee from Rite Aid reported that she observed Branden Phipps remove items from a shelf and then later attempted to return the items for a refund without having paid for them. Phipps, 27, of Hillsboro was arrested for theft.
At 3:11 p.m., the department received a call from Walmart in reference to a shoplifting complaint. Investigation shows that Terry L. Bennington and Britney Brodt both pushed out a cartload of merchandise without paying for them. Estimated value was $1,214. Terry Bennington, 37, of Blue Creek was arrested for theft and Britney Brodt, 27, of Blue Creek was arrested for theft and bench warrant.

Timothy Roades, 29, of Hillsboro, domestic violence.
Andrew Mitchell, 26, of Peebles, bench warrant.
