On Saturday, Oct. 6 at 12:01 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department investigated a traffic crash on North East St. in Hillsboro. Terry Adkins, 54, of Hillsboro was northbound on North East St. driving a 1996 Ford at the intersection of East North St. Adkins was unable to stop before striking the rear of a 2000 Cadillac driven by Buffy Wyckoff, 40, of Hillsboro. Adkins was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

On Monday, Oct. 8, Hillsboro officers responded to the 100 block of Maple Run Dr. in Hillsboro on a call of domestic violence. After investigating, Adam Hill, 23, of Hillsboro was arrested for domestic violence.

At 10:25 a.m., First Stop on West Main St. in Hillsboro reported a theft of gasoline. They advised $40.30 of gasoline was pumped into a Pontiac. The driver then left the property without paying for the gasoline. This incident is under investigation.
