Hillsboro Police Report

On July 19, while on routine patrol, an officer stopped a vehicle on Muntz Street and while doing a vehicle search, located a large coin and stamp collection. The items were confiscated until further investigation of ownership can be determined.

The department received a call of a fight at the Highland Lanes Bowling Alley. Upon officer arrival, it was found that Charles Miller assaulted Roger Timothy Ashcraft. Miller, 45, of Leesburg was arrested for assault and Ashcraft, 24, of Hillsboro was arrested for four bench warrants from Wilmington Police Department.

Kevin Bennett of Hillsboro, driving a 1981 Chevrolet, was traveling southbound on North West Street and failed to stop for a 2005 Chevrolet that was stopped in traffic and was being driven by Bryan Kessinger of Hillsboro. Bennett was cited for following too close.

On July 20, the department received a call of a child dispute in the 200 block of John Street. Cierra Trivett, 25, of Hillsboro was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Cody Wedmore, of Mt. Orab, assured clear distance ahead.

Jesse Kuhn, of Hillsboro, unnecessary noise by muffler.

Evan Allen, of Martinsville, driving under suspension and license plate light required.
