Hillsboro man charged with resisting arrest

A Hillsboro man is facing charges of resisting arrest following a Saturday evening incident at his mother's residence.

At approximately 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, the Hillsboro Police Department was called to the home after the mother reported that her son was "acting strange."

Christopher M. Magee was located in a bedroom of the residence and arrested on an outstanding warrant. After he was taken outside, police said he became combative. He was then charged with resisting arrest.

Magee was taken to the Highland County Justice Center.
