Highland County Sheriff's Office adds new K-9 to department

Highland County Sheriff Richard Warner is pleased to announce that the sheriff's office has added a new dual-purpose K-9 to the department.

D'Jango, a 1-year-old German shepherd, was imported from Europe by Southern Ohio Police Canine. D'Jango was partnered with Sgt. Craig Seaman. They have completed their training with Southern Ohio Police Canine and have successfully passed the State of Ohio certification for canine teams.

D'Jango is trained in narcotic detection, tracking and apprehension.

Donations from several Highland County businesses and citizens helped supply some of the funds toward the purchase of D'Jango. Sheriff Warner and Sgt. Seaman would like to thank all of the local businesses and citizens of Highland County who made it possible to put another K-9 on patrol in Highland County.
