Greenfield woman sentenced on drug conveyance charge
A Greenfield woman was sentenced this week to two and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to conveying drugs into the Greenfield Jail.
As previously reported, Stephany Eubanks, 37, was indicted in October and charged with illegal conveyance of weapons or prohibited items onto the grounds of a detention facility or institution, a third-degree felony; possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony; and aggravated possession of methamphetamine, a fifth-degree felony.
Eubanks pleaded guilty to the conveyance charge Jan. 9, according to court records. The drug possession charges were dismissed.
For that charge, indictment alleged that on or about Aug. 2, Eubanks “did knowingly convey, or attempt to convey … a drug of abuse” into the Greenfield Jail.
During a hearing Feb. 5, Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss sentenced Eubanks to 30 months in prison. She had five days of jail time credit.
