Greenfield teen listed as endangered runaway found in Indiana

Greenfield teen Britni Shey Mess, who was listed as an endangered runaway by the Ohio Attorney General's Office, has been found safe in Indiana.

On Jan. 11 at 1:30 p.m., Mess was located in the state of Indiana and is safe and in custody there.

Mess has been missing from her Greenfield home since Dec. 27, 2012. She was located after an investigation by the police department, BCI Missing Persons Unit, Indianapolis Metro Police and the Indiana State Police.

Greenfield officers will be transporting her back to Ohio, and she will be united with her family later tonight.

The AG's website, www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov, reported that Mess has been missing since Dec. 27, 2012 from the Greenfield area.

She is 17 (date of birth Dec. 11, 1995); 5 feet, four inches tall; approximately 150 pounds; with brown eyes and brown hair.

"Britni was last seen wearing a black coat with fur around the hood and a zebra print purse with red trim," the AG's office said.

"She has a tattoo of a mushroom on her left abdomen. Her ears and lip are pierced. She may be wearing glasses. She is believed to be en route to Indiana or Dayton, Ohio with a male companion."
