March 8th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 12:50 A.M., the Ross County Sheriff's Office requested an officer to make contact with a male at a residence in the 900 block of North 5th Street. The male was advised accordingly.

At 5:26 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Jefferson Street. The driver was advised accordingly.

At 5:48 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop at Greenfield Skilled Nursing. The driver was advised accordingly.

At 2:18 P.M., a resident in the 300 block of South 2nd Street reported criminal damage to their property.

At 2:20 P.M., a resident in the 1100 block of Sycamore Circle requested assistance unlocking their vehicle. Entry was gained.

At 4:47 P.M., a resident in the 400 block of Lyndon Avenue reported criminal damage to their vehicle.

At 5:17 P.M., an individual reported a water leak in the 500 block of the alley near Lyndon Avenue and South 5th Street.

At 5:37 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on S. R. 28 near Lovers Lane. The driver, Alexzander Scott, 25, Sabina, was cited for driving under suspension and display of license plate.

At 6:28 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Jefferson Street. The driver was warned for a moving violation.

At 6:49 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North 2nd Street near North Street. The driver was warned for a moving violation.

At 8:10 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on S. R. 28 near Thrifton Road. The driver, Bryson Rickman, 26, of Greenfield was arrested for fleeing and eluding, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence and illumination of rear license plate. Rickman briefly fled from the law enforcement, prior to being stopped near Thrifton Road. After investigation, items of drug paraphernalia and suspected narcotics were located inside the vehicle. Shortly after it was determined Rickman had thrown suspected narcotics out of the vehicle's window on Jefferson Street near Save A Lot. 

At 8:40 P.M., a caller reported a property damage accident involving their vehicle.

At 9:38 P.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of numerous calls reporting a fight at the VFW. Officers responded.

At 10:04 P.M., a resident in the 400 block of McClain Avenue reported a neighbor complaint.

At 11:08 P.M., a resident in the 1100 block of Cross Street reported an animal complaint. 

Arrests/Citations

Alexzander Scott, 25, of Sabina, was cited for driving under suspension and display of license plate.

Bryson Rickman, 26, of Greenfield, was arrested for fleeing and eluding, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence and illumination of rear license plate.

March 9th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 3:45 A.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of a resident in the 500 block of Dickey Avenue reporting a disturbance. Upon arrival the caller did not want assistance.

At 5:31 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on S. R. 41 near Corvac. The driver was warned for a headlight.

At 5:48 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North Street near North 2nd Street. The driver was warned for an equipment violation.

At 6:03 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop at Adient. The driver was warned for illumination of the rear license plate.

At 6:16 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North Washington Street near Priests BBQ. The driver was warned for an equipment violation.

At 6:26 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on S. R. 41 near the railroad tracks. The driver was warned for failure to signal.

At 7:10 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Jefferson Street near South 9th Street. The driver was warned for a headlight.

At 9:51 A.M., a caller in the 400 block of Dickey Avenue reported a trash complaint.

At 10:23 A.M., the SRO reported a parent did not send their child to school. This incident remains under investigation.

At 12:12 P.M., while on patrol on Jefferson Street near North 11th an officer located a disabled vehicle. The vehicle was removed from the roadway.

At 12:54 P.M., a caller advised of a parking complaint in the 300 block of Jefferson Street. The registered owner was advised to move the vehicle, or it would be towed.

At 1:53 P.M., a caller in the 400 block of Spring Street reported a neighbor complaint.

At 4:20 P.M., a resident in the 600 block of Lyndon Avenue reported a water leak in the alley.

At 6:54 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on East Martinsburg Road. The driver was warned for display of license plate.

At 11:57 P.M., a resident in the 400 block of Spring Street reported a noise complaint.

Arrests/Citations

Paul Bond, 50, of Hillsboro, was arrested for violation of court orders.

Offenses/Incidents

At 1:38 A.M., while officers were on patrol at Mitchell's Park, they located a male asleep in a dugout. James Mcvey, 53, of Portsmouth, was arrested for criminal trespass.

At 2:25 A.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of a 911-transfer reporting a female threatening self-harm with a knife in the 1000 block of South 5th Street. The female was transported to the Adena Greenfield ER by Paint Creek Fire/EMS.

At 3:20 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop at Flagway 12. The driver was warned for an equipment violation.

At 7:13 A.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of a domestic complaint in the 200 block of North 11th Street. A female was transported to the Adena Greenfield ER by Paint Creek Fire/EMS.

At 4:20 P.M., a deputy with the Highland County Sheriff's Office at Subway requested assistance with a traffic stop. Assistance was given.

At 5:45 P.M., a caller requested a welfare check for an individual in the 1000 block of Jefferson Street. Contact was unsuccessful.

At 7:51 P.M., a caller in the 200 block of Jefferson Street reported a disturbance involving a known male. The male was advised accordingly.

At 8:31 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of Jefferson Street.

At 9:06 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North Washington Street near McClain Avenue. The driver was warned for a moving violation.

At 9:14 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Jefferson Street. The driver, Emily Patton, 36, of Greenfield, was cited for driving under suspension and no headlight.

At 10:29 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Jefferson Street. The driver was warned for an equipment violation.

Offenses/Incidents

At 1:21 A.M., a resident in the 600 block of South Washington Street reported a suspicious vehicle. An officer made contact with the driver.

At 5:01 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Jefferson Street. The driver was warned for failure to obey a traffic control device.

At 11:30 A.M., a resident in the 500 block of Dickey Avenue reported a domestic complaint. A male was transported to the Adena Greenfield ER by Paint Creek Fire/EMS.

At 4:44 P.M., a resident in the 500 block of North 5th Street reported a water/sewer complaint.

At 7:05 P.M., an officer attempted a traffic stop on South 7th Street near S. R. 138. The vehicle turned onto S. R. 138 and began to flee. The officer was unable to relocate the vehicle.

At 10:16 P.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of a commercial fire alarm activation at Community Markets and that Paint Creek Fire/EMS was enroute. Officers responded.

At 10:47 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Jefferson Street. The driver was warned for an equipment violation.

Offenses/Incidents

At 12:59 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop at Save A Lot. The driver was warned for driving outside of license restrictions.

At 6:47 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Jefferson Street near 5th Street. The driver was warned for a headlight.

At 5:24 P.M., a caller in the 700 block of Spring Street reported a road obstruction.

At 6:44 P.M., a caller at the First Baptist Church reported a known male that has returned to the property after being told to leave previously.

At 7:44 P.M., a resident in the 1000 block of North Washington Street requested extra patrol for the area.

At 8:32 P.M., while on patrol near Southern Hills Bank an officer located a heavily intoxicated male having difficulty walking. The male, Lyle White, 54, of Columbus, was arrested for disorderly conduct by public intoxication.

At 8:35 P.M., a caller in the 100 block of Smith Street reported a neighbor complaint.

At 8:55 P.M., an individual turned in a lost Merchants Bank ATM card that was left inside of the ATM at the Jefferson Street branch.

At 11:57 P.M., a resident in the 200 block of North 4th Street reported a domestic complaint. After investigation, Brandon Beechler, 44, of Greenfield, was arrested for domestic violence and strangulation.

Offenses/Incidents

At 4:28 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on S. R. 41 near Corvac. The driver was warned for a headlight and illumination of the rear license plate.

At 5:13 A.M., while on patrol an officer located an occupied vehicle parked behind Save A Lot. The officer made contact with the occupant, who checked ok.

At 5:26 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on S. R. 41 near Island Grove Road. The driver was warned for a headlight.

At 5:35 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Edgewood Avenue near North Street. The driver was warned for a headlight.

At 5:54 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on S. R. 41 near Island Grove Road. The driver was warned for illumination of the rear license plate.

At 5:59 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on S. R. 41 near Island Grove Road. The driver was warned for a headlight.

At 6:05 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on S. R. 41 near the Chapel of Hope. The driver was warned for a headlight.

At 6:46 A.M., officers conducted a warrant service at a residence in the 500 block of Dickey Avenue. Rodney McCarty, 41, of Bloomingburg, was arrested on a probation violation warrant out of the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.

At 8:40 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North 7th Street near McClain Avenue. The driver was warned for a stop sign.

At 11:12 A.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of a 911-hangup in the 200 block of North 5th Street. The School Resource Officer was advised.

At 11:38 A.M., the Murray Fettro Funeral Home requested assistance with a funeral procession. Assistance was given.

At 12:29 P.M., a resident in the 100 block of Lafayette Street requested extra patrol for the area.

At 1:25 P.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of a 911-transfer reporting a tree had fallen on top of vehicles in the 300 block of Jefferson Street, behind E&T Collectibles. Caller further advised electrical wires were pulled down and they can smell smoke inside of their establishment. Officers responded along with Paint Creek Fire/EMS. AES was requested to respond.

At 5:03 P.M., a resident in the 400 block of Spring Street reported an animal complaint. The Highland County Dog Warden was advised.

At 5:39 P.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office requested an officer to respond to 700 block of Blaine Street for downed lines.

At 7:48 P.M., a caller in the 300 block of Jefferson reported juveniles were playing in the alley near the downed, live wires. An officer responded.

At 7:53 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on the S. R. 28 bridge. The driver was warned for display of license plate.

At 9:23 P.M., officer conducted a warrant service at a residence in the 600 block of South Washington Street. Ian West, 28, of Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant for failure to comply with court orders.

March 14th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 4:58 A.M., while on patrol on South Washington Street at the bike path an officer located a running, parked vehicle. Contact was made with the occupants who were advised to move along.

At 6:20 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop at Adena Family Medicine. The driver was warned for a headlight.

At 6:27 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on S. R. 41 near Corvac. The driver was warned for a headlight.

At 7:41 A.M., Recovery America reported a vehicle repossession from the 700 block of Spring Street.

At 1:41 P.M., an officer made contact with an individual in the 400 block of Lafayette Street regarding a disabled vehicle.

At 8:17 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North Washington Street near North Street. A K9 unit conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle. The K9 positively alerted to the presence of narcotics. Items of drug paraphernalia were located. After investigation, the driver, Natoshia Nelson, 42, of Greenfield, was cited for stop sign violation, display of license plate, and arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Andrew Johnson, 40, of Hillsboro, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 11:10 P.M., Paint Creek Fire/EMS advised an individual reported smelling something burning in the 600 block of Lyndon Avenue. Officers patrolled the area.

Natoshia Nelson, 42, of Greenfield, was cited for stop sign violation, display of license plate, and arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Andrew Johnson, 40, of Hillsboro, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
