A Greenfield man was sentenced to four years in prison Thursday after pleading guilty to a first-degree felony drug trafficking charge.

Isaac Garrison, 23, was indicted by a Highland County grand jury in August and charged with aggravated trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound and aggravated possession of a fentanyl-related compound, both first-degree felonies.

The indictment alleged that on or about July 6, Garrison and a co-defendant “did knowingly prepare for shipment, ship, transport, deliver, prepare for distribution or distribute,” a fentanyl-related compound in an amount equal to or exceeding 20 grams but less than 50 grams.

Garrison pleaded guilty to the trafficking charge Nov. 9, and the possession charge was dismissed.

Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss sentenced Garrison to a mandatory term of four years in prison. Under the Reagan Tokes Law, Garrison could be ordered to serve up to six years. He had seven days of jail time credit.
