Greenfield Area Christian Center receives $25,000 donation

The Greenfield Area Christian Center received a check for $25,000 from the Charles M. Uhl, Jr. and Teresa D. Uhl Family Foundation. The donation is to be used to finish the space New Directions and senior citizens will share in the new building. After that portion of the project is completed, the remaining funds can be used towards any part of the new construction project.
The new building is located on the land adjacent to the existing Center and will include the food ministry, New Directions and the relocated Borreson Chapel. As part of the project, the existing Center will be refurbished to house the clothing ministry. Given the ample space of the new Center, the opportunity will exist for other organizations within the community to utilize the Center for programs and services.

Since the groundbreaking last April, the Greenfield Area Christian Center has launched a capital campaign within the community to secure pledges and donations from churches, businesses, organizations and individuals to raise approximately $114,000 to cover construction costs.
“We have been very blessed by the outpouring of community support and contributions thus far and our hope is that this momentum continues in the months to come," Bryant said.
The Greenfield Area Christian Center was founded in 1985 and is a non profit organization 501-c3. Ministries of the Greenfield Area Christian center include Clothing, Food, Tragic and Transient, Education and New Directions. These ministries would not be possible without volunteer support and the large donations from local churches, individuals, businesses and community organizations.
