Governor DeWine orders flags lowered in honor of former Greene County Judge Robert Hagler

In honor of the life and service of The Honorable Robert Hagler, former Greene County Judge, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has ordered the flags of the United States and the state of Ohio to be lowered upon all public buildings and grounds throughout Greene County from sunrise on Friday, Aug. 16, 2024 until sunset on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024.

All other public buildings and grounds throughout the state may fly the flags of the United States and the state of Ohio at half-staff at their discretion for the same time period.

According to his obituary, Hagler, who passed away Aug. 3 at the age of 84, retired in 2013 as the longest tenured Common Pleas Court judge in Ohio, serving over 40 years. He was an assistant prosecutor (1967-70), Juvenile Court Judge (1973-95) and Probate Court judge (1973-2013).
