Governor DeWine orders flags lowered after 2 Ohio mayors pass away

In honor of the life and service of the Village of Somerset Mayor Tom Johnson, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has ordered that the flags of the United States and the State of Ohio shall be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout the Village of Somerset Friday and shall remain until sunset on the day of his funeral.

According to the Zanesville Times Recorder, Mayor Johnson was killed Wednesday in a car accident. He was 68.

Additionally, in honor of the life and service of the Village of Dresden Mayor Greg Morrison, Governor DeWine orders that the flags of the United States and the State of Ohio shall be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout the Village of Dresden Friday and shall remain until sunset on the day of his funeral, Nov. 5.

According to his obituary, Mayor Morrison passed away Monday at his home. He was 62.
