"We evacuated Central Campus due to smoke in the 100 hallway. The fire department was dispatched immediately," SSCC President Dr. Kevin Boys said.

Dr. Boys said the issue appeared to be related to a motor in a hallway heater.

Classes are canceled until noon Wednesday, but the college anticipates that it will be back in session for afternoon classes, Dr. Boys said.
