Firefighters battle Griffith Road structure fire

Firefighters were called to 5991 Griffith Road in New Market Township shortly after noon Thursday, Oct. 10.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a house on Griffith Road mostly engulfed in flames.

At least one person at the property was injured, according to Paint Creek Joint EMS/Fire District Chief Bradley George.

Hillsboro Fire Department, Southern Highland Joint Fire Department and the Lynchburg Fire Department also responded.
