Culvert replacement scheduled next week for Brown-131

A culvert replacement project has been scheduled for state Route 131 in Brown County, and the route will be closed one day next week between its junction with U.S. Route 50 and the Brown-Clermont County line.


On Tuesday, June 12, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Brown County facility will close S.R. 131 at the 1.65-mile marker to replace a deteriorated culvert that is located between Lorelei Drive and U.S. 50 at Vera Cruz.

The route will be closed from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., and while it is closed, motorists will be detoured via U.S. 50 and S.R. 133 in Clermont County. Completion of the project will be contingent upon the weather.
