County commissioners
hold organizational
meeting Jan. 14
The Highland County Board of Commissioners will hold their 2013
organizational meeting at 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14 at the commissioners'
office in the Highland County Administration Building.

Veterans Service Office
meeting dates
Effective for 2013, and beginning Tuesday, Jan. 8, the Highland County
Veterans Service Commission will meet every two weeks on the second and
fourth Tuesday of every month at 5 p.m. at 135 N. High Street, Hillsboro.
The meetings are open to the public.

Clothing donations needed
New Life Church and Ministries’ Ivy’s Clothing Closet is currently in
need of donations of baby and men’s clothing. Donations can be made
Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church, 6101
state Route 247, Hillsboro. For more information, call (937) 205-8401.

Next open door
free meal Jan. 26
There will not be an open door free meal at the Greenfield Methodist Church
in December. The next open door meal will be Jan. 26 from 4-5:30 p.m.

VFW Post 9094
fish fry Jan. 5
VFW Post 9094 will hold a fish fry Saturday, Jan. 5 from 4:30-7 p.m. Meals
are $7 and include all the fish you can eat, fries, slaw, hush puppies and a
soft drink. The event is open to the public.

Board of Elections
seasonal closings
The Highland County Board of Elections will be closed Jan. 8-11 as the
office staff will be attending a winter conference.

Southern Hills Joint
Vocational School District
organization meeting Jan. 14
The organizational and regular meeting of the Southern Hills Joint
Vocational School District will be Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at 6 p.m. at the
Southern Hills JVSD board office, 9193 Hamer Road, Georgetown, Ohio 45121.
