Commissioners honor HDH Home Health Services

The Highland County Board of Commissioners proclaimed November as National Home Health Care Month and the week of Nov. 9-15 as Home Health Aide Week during their Wednesday, Nov. 5 board meeting.

Cindy Brummet, Joanne Howard, Ellen Zink, Hazel Smith and Kathleen Taylor of Highland District Hospital’s Home Health Services Department accepted the proclamations from commissioners Jeremy Shaffer and Shane Wilkin. 

The HDH Home Health Services Department has been recognized as among the HomeCare Elite, a list of the top-performing home health care providers in the United States. This annual review identifies the top 25 percent of agencies, ranked by an analysis of performance measures in quality outcomes, quality improvement and financial performance. Highland District Hospital’s Home Health Services ranked in the top 6 percent nationally, and is recognized as being in the top 500 of over 8,000 agencies nationwide.
