As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the Environmental Office is seeking public input on the following proposed projects.

Adams County – ADA-41-5.20 (PID: 83923) – The proposed bridge replacement project is on state Route 41 and over Mussel Run in Sprigg Township of Adams County. The existing bridge is a 17 X 6-foot corrugated metal arch pipe and will be replaced with an 18 X 6-foot precast concrete box culvert. The project will need approximately 0.8 acres of permanent right of way. The new right of way is located in a pasture field and along the stream channel. No homes or businesses will be removed by the project.

Highland County – HIG-72-5.82 – The project is to correct a scour issue at a bridge over Middle Fork Lees Creek on state Route 72 in Fairfield Township of Highland County. Dump rock will be placed on the slope under the bridge and around the steel casings on the columns to prevent further scouring. The project will be completed using ODOT work force, and all work will take place within existing ODOT right of way. In addition, no trees or bushes will be removed as part of the project.

Highland County – HIG-134-14.43 – The project is to correct a scour issue at a bridge over Dodson Creek on state Route 134 in Dodson Township of Highland County. Dump rock will be placed around footers to prevent further scouring. All work will take place within existing ODOT right of way, and no homes, businesses or structures will be removed by the project. In addition, no trees or bushes will be removed as part of the project. The project will be completed using ODOT work force.
