Brent Lawson promoted to U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer

Chief Brent Lawson (left) of Wilmington and the son of Gary Lawson and Susan Smith, received his Gold Fouled Anchors and joined the ranks of the U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer (CPO) during a CPO Pinning ceremony in Balboa Park in San Diego, Calif. on Sept. 16.

Chief Lawson is currently attached to EOD Mobile Unit Three.

The CPO Pinning is a time-honored tradition that serves as the final event for CPO 365 Phase II training.
