Highland County Commissioner Jeremy Shaffer has been elected as the 2014 president of the Highland County TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party.
Outgoing president Barb Cole passed the gavel to Shaffer during the party's Monday, Jan. 20 meeting at the Hi-TEC Center in Hillsboro.
Other office holders for 2014 include: vice president Dennis Egbert, secretary Debbie Williams, treasurer Nancy Wyckoff, and executive committee members Roger Doerfler, Linda Sprinkle and Phyllis Matlack.
At the conclusion of Monday's meeting, party members presented Cole with a serving tray in recognition of her commitment to serving the public as party president.
