14th annual DARE Golf Tournament held

The 14th annual Highland County Sheriff DARE Golf Tournament was held on June 6 at the Elks Golf Course in Hillsboro.

Fifteen teams played on a perfect June golf day.

First place, with the prize donated by the Union Stock Yards, went to Team Eric Magee.

Second place, with the prize donated by the Ohio Valley Truss Co., went to Craven Bail Bonding Co.

Third place, with the prize donated by Edgington Funeral Home, went to team Steve Louderback.

Other winners included were Longest Putt, Gerald Wilkin; Longest Drive, Chad Hodson.

There were also several door prizes and a 50/50 drawing.

Lunch on the grill was provided by Aramark Corporation and prepared by Sheriff Ron Ward and Chief Deputy Chuck Middleton.

DARE Deputy Bobby Stroop and Sheriff Ward would like to thank the Hillsboro Elks and the businesses and individuals that donated toward the tournament or sponsored a hole or team for making this year's tournaments one of the best ever.
