Softball All-District teams announced

     Eight Highland County student-athletes were named to the 2010 SE District All-District teams in Divisons II and IV.
     Making first team in Division II was McClain senior first baseman Kate Hammond. Second team in D II was McClain junior and pitcher Megan Dettwiller. Making honorable mention in the division were McClain seniors Alex Taylor (outfield) and Cortney Hyer (shortstop).
     In Division IV Fairfield sophomore and pitcher Lauren Larrick was named first team. FHS sophomore Whitney Hanenkrat was named second team. Hanenkrat set the FHS softball single season home run record this year with six. Heather Huff (infield) was also named to the second team in Division IV. FHS senior first baseman Gabby Boone was slected as an honorable mention in D IV.[[In-content Ad]]
