LEESBURG — The Peebles Indians visited Highland County Monday evening, and in their visit, they kept their undefeated record for not only the Southern Hills League, but for the season with a 4-0 win over the host Fairfield Lions.
PHS moves to 11-0 overall and 5-0 in the SHL, while the Lions drop to 6-5-1 overall and 3-3 in league games. This was the second consecutive match the Lions had to face an undefeated opponent as they last faced Unioto.
"We didn't play with a lot of energy (Monday) … we were flat," FHS coach Brian Ortlieb said. "We didn't do a good job of spreading the field.
"Peebles was opposite of us. They were intense and used the entire field."

Peebles scored two goals in each half with Caleb Densik scoring both first-half goals at 15:22 and 3:55 with assists from Jonathan Pryor and Spencer Kelley for the 2-0 halftime lead.
Clay Brown put PHS ahead 3-0 with 2:54 left in the match, and 20 seconds later, Pryor scored a goal with the assist credited to Stone Crothers.
PHS has two league games left in West Union and Ripley.
As for the Lions, one standout was keeper Joey Wilson.
"Joey has been playing very well lately," Ortlieb said. "His last three or four games, he's really had some great saves, but the scores don't show that. The last two goals against Peebles, he was left vulnerable out there with our defense, but he's played well the last few games."
The Lions will play again on Wednesday when they face Lynchburg-Clay.
