The Lions' game-winning run came in the ninth inning when Ian Adams blasted the baseball to left-center field, with the ball bouncing over the head of the centerfielder, scoring Casey Jordan.
Jordan reached the bases with a two-strike single.

The Fayetteville second baseman threw home, and as Hildebrant went back to third, the Rockets' catcher tossed the ball past the third baseman, into left field, allowing both Hildebrant and Bennett to score.
With two outs, and down by two runs, Jordan was safe at first on a fielding error. Joey Wilson doubled to deep centerfield, scoring Jordan. With Nathan Hawkins in as a pinch runner, Adams singled to score Hawkins, tying the game at four.
