Fairfield to host Coaches vs. Cancer game this Friday

The Fairfield Lions will be hosting a Coaches vs. Cancer game this Friday, Jan. 28 when they take on their league and county rival, the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs.
Basketball players and cheerleaders will have cancer game T-shirts that will be auctioned off throughout the evening’s festivities in order to help raise money for the American Cancer Society.
Game time for the freshman game is 4:30 p.m.
This year’s cancer theme is pancreatic cancer, which is designated by the color purple. All fans are encouraged to wear purple in support of the event. Parents and community members are able to bid on the shirts of the respective players and cheerleaders at the below listed times:
Freshman players –between the freshman and JV game
JV players – half time of the JV game
Cheerleaders – in between the JV and Varsity game
Varsity players – half time of the varsity game
Again, all proceeds from this event will benefit the American Cancer Society. There will be representatives at the game form the American Cancer Society available to take donations as well.
Fairfield Local High School and Lynchburg Clay High School would like to encourage all parents, fans, and community members to come out and support this great event.
There will also be a chili/spaghetti dinner beginning at 4:30 p.m. that evening. The chili/spaghetti dinner is being put on by the Fairfield High School Junior Class in order to raise money for the prom.[[In-content Ad]]
