Every state is a border state

Every day, more and more deadly drugs and criminals are flying over our southern border and into our communities. In June alone, over 2,000 pounds of deadly fentanyl were seized at our southern border – enough to kill the entire state of Arkansas 150 times (over 453 million people). Just imagine how much is making it across under our noses.

The crisis at the border isn’t just at the southern border anymore; it’s in our own backyard, and far-left Democrats refuse to open their eyes and acknowledge it. Rather than securing our nation’s borders, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, President Biden, and other far-left Democrats have implemented misguided open border policies that have created a historic humanitarian, ecological, economic, and national security crisis.

House Republicans took bold action and put America first when we passed H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act, legislation that will secure the border and combat illegal immigration.

This historic legislation would force the Biden Administration to restart construction of the border wall, end catch and release, increase the number of Border Patrol agents, strengthen and streamline the asylum process, and strengthen current law to protect unaccompanied children from human trafficking, among other things.

Our country’s leaders cannot continue to disregard this crisis. The delusion must end; our country needs border policies that put Americans first – that’s precisely what the Secure the Border Act does. Border Security is national security, and it’s time for Secretary Mayorkas, President Biden, and far-left Democrats to wake up and follow House Republicans’ lead.
