The Music Department at Mount Vernon Nazarene University invites the community to celebrate the holiday season with the biennial Christmas Festival on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 7:15 p.m. in the R.R. Hodges Chapel/Auditorium.

Join us in celebrating the reason for the season with a night of festive music and holiday cheer for the whole family. This festive, free concert will feature a variety of Christmas music performed by the Collegians Chorale, Treble Singers Women’s Choir, Una Voce Chamber Ensemble, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Flute Choir and String Ensemble.

Highlighting the concert will be arrangements of “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day,” “Holly Jolly Christmas,” “Sleigh Ride,” “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” “Away in the Manger” and a work combining “Carol of the Bells” with “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.” Also included in the concert is Eric Whitacre’s “Lux Aurumque” and “Eatnemen Vuelie (Fairest Lord Jesus),” arranged by Emily Crocker.
