McClain show choir to present 'Spectacular' April 21

On Saturday, April 21, the Greenfield McClain show choir, "A Touch of Class," will present their annual show, "Spectacular." This year, the group is returning to a Broadway-themed show.
The evening will highlight the talents of the present show choir members. There will be a variety of acts, including dances, solos, duets, skits and group numbers. The show choir members will be singing and dancing to songs from many popular Broadway musicals, including "Chicago," "Aladdin," "Wicked," "West Side Story," "Annie," "Legally Blonde," "Damn Yankees," "Spamalot," "Jekyll and Hyde," "Sweeney Todd," "Rent" and "Man of La Mancha." An added bonus this year is a group of fifth-grade students from Buckskin and Rainsboro. They will be performing to the popular song "Can't Wait To Be King" from Disney's "The Lion King."
The show choir performs for area businesses and organizations as well as traveling to various different locales. They have marched in the Macy's Day Parade in New York City and have performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland and EPCOT at Disney World. They also performed at the Mall of America.
The group is planning to return to Disney World in the spring of 2013. They will be presenting their own show at EPCOT. Proceeds from this show will go toward the trip.
