McClain High School prepares for start of new school year

Classes for students attending McClain High School will begin on Thursday, Aug. 16.

All students attending McClain are to report at 7:40 a.m. to the McClain Gymnasium for an opening assembly. Students will be addressed by their Student Council officers, guidance counselors and administrators. New faculty members will be introduced, and various announcements will be made. Students will be dismissed to their homerooms for further information as well as receiving their personal schedule of classes. Various course and activity fees will be announced by each teacher and adviser.

The high school daily time schedule will remain this year: admission at 7:34 a.m., tardy at 7:40 a.m. and dismissal at 2:30 p.m. Lunch for high school students will be from 12:12 p.m. to 12:42 p.m.

Students who are new to the school district should report to the high school office between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to complete the registration and scheduling process. This should be completed prior to Aug. 13.
