Lynchburg-Clay kindergarten registration set for April 4

Kindergarten registration for students living in the Lynchburg-Clay School District will be held on Wednesday, April 4 in the Lynchburg-Clay Elementary building. Students with last names beginning with A-L will register from 9-11:30 a.m. Students with last names beginning with M-Z will register from 12:30-3 p.m.
In order to enroll, the parents must provide the following:
• An official birth certificate. This can be acquired from the health department in the county of your child’s birth. Your child must be five years of age on or before Aug. 1, 2012.
• An up-to-date immunization record. The state laws of Ohio require that certain immunizations must be completed before the child enters school.
• Your child’s Social Security card.
• Proof of residence. A bill that is mailed to your house is acceptable. A driver’s license is not acceptable.
• Custody papers, if applicable.
• Driver’s license or photo ID.
During registration, your child does not need to be present. Parents/guardians will be selecting a time on April 18 or 19, at which time students need to be screened for hearing and vision. The student will also have fingerprinting done, complete a physical and meet with one of the kindergarten teachers.
